Collaborative Family Engagement Update: New Resources and Training Opportunities

Texas CASA continues to support local CASA programs in strengthening Collaborative Family Engagement (CFE) practices that prioritize meaningful connections, supportive relationships and positive outcomes for children and families. From practical tools that help children and families identify their sources of support to specialized training opportunities for CASA programs, these resources can help strengthen relationship-centered advocacy across Texas.

Connection Tool Spotlight: Ring of Hope

En Ring of Hope is the newest tool in our Connection Tool Spotlight series! This personalized collection of activity cards helps children, youth, and families identify the people, strategies, and activities that help them feel calm, connected, and hopeful.

Organized into eight categories of support, the Ring of Hope gives individuals a resource they can turn to during times of stress, uncertainty, or big emotions. It also creates opportunities for meaningful conversations about personal strengths, supportive relationships, self-care, and future goals.

Designed to grow and change over time, the Ring of Hope can be personalized as children, youth, and families’ needs evolve.

Opportunity for Local CASA Programs: TBRI® for CASA Cohort

Texas CASA is inviting 10 local CASA programs to participate in the third Trust-Based Relational Intervention® (TBRI®) for CASA cohort, offered through the TBRI® Ambassador Program at Child Advocates of Montgomery County.

This opportunity will help participating programs integrate TBRI® principles into their advocacy and communities, equipping them to better understand the effects of trauma and use strategies for empowering, connecting, and correcting. Through this work, programs can strengthen their support for children, youth, and families.

The cohort requires an eight-month commitment and includes a combination of in-person and virtual activities, training, coaching, and ongoing support.

Interested in participating? Review the program requirements and submit your application by November 13, 2026.
