Principios rectores para los organismos que atienden a supervivientes de la trata de seres humanos
Human trafficking resources help with the recovery of victims and create opportunities for empowerment in a population coping with extreme trauma. Texas CASA plays a critical role in this endeavor. CASA volunteers, appointed by the courts, provide personalized advocacy for children who have suffered abuse or neglect, ensuring they receive essential support. Guiding Principles for Agencies Serving Survivors of Human Trafficking shares core principles that prioritize the well-being of survivors, including a victim-centered approach, strengths-based, confidentiality and evidence-based interventions among others. The guidebook provides resources and links to guide the reader through a comprehensive understanding of the core principles. As the guidebook states, “May we all recognize the value of core principles to guide our work so that we do no harm as we come alongside victims and survivors to support and empower them.”
