Ensuring the highest level of quality in CASA advocacy requires CASA volunteers to do many activities and to customize their advocacy efforts to address the critical needs of the children. With this in mind, it is recommended that CASA volunteers and their CASA supervisors create an Individualized Advocacy and Action Plan, a specialized advocacy plan based on the unique needs of the children and family. This customizable action plan could provide additional direction to CASA volunteers on what types of and areas of advocacy they can provide for the children they serve and help ensure that the needs of the children are truly met. It is also a very useful tool for supervisors to use in guiding and directing the advocacy activities of their volunteers.
