New Resources on Aging Out of Foster Care from the Texas Foster Youth Justice Project

The Texas Foster Youth Justice Project recently announced the publication of a new resource on aging out of foster care in Texas for youth and young adults and those who serve them. Aging Out of Foster Care in Texas: What You Need to Know is a one-page bifold handout that simply and directly explains what aging out of foster care means, how to determine if a person is in foster care, why it is important to know whether they age out, and the critical benefits and services that aged out foster youth are entitled to.

The handout is available in both English and Spanish, and both languages include a color and grayscale version. Programs are encouraged to print these and make them available to the youth and young adults you know or work with.
