Special Delivery from the Texas CASA CFE Team!

Last month, the Texas CASA Collaborative Family Engagement team came together to assemble 219 Visitation Toolkits for the local CASA programs! Thanks to the generosity of The Meadows Foundation and partnership from Child Advocates of Fort Bend, Texas CASA was able to provide three toolkits to each local program, along with the volunteer guidebook ‘Little People. Big Impact. Advocacy for Infants and Young Children’. This is Texas CASA’s first time to assemble the Visitation Toolkits, but Child Advocates of Fort Bend began creating these toolkits in 2005! The toolkits are full of sensory and developmentally focused items for parents to use with their infant or young child during their visitation time.

“I’m hoping this is going to make a huge difference in parent/child visits. Our goal with these toolkits is to make a positive impact on the parent/child bond. There is nothing more important for kids then time with their parents, especially for infants and toddlers.” — Anna McDonnell
