Many programs have shared the worsening conditions of foster care and the severity of abuse and neglect. As a network, we have an urgent need to serve all children in the Texas child protection system. CASA volunteers are imperative in helping them navigate the system, supporting their needs, supporting their families, and advocating for better outcomes.
We understand the challenges to serve children and families are only increasing and many eyes are on CASA. Our goal is for us, as a statewide network, to come together and work through some of these challenges in order to provide a CASA volunteer for every child who needs one.
Towards that end, we are setting a time for Texas CASA and program executive directors and board chairs to meet to discuss our partnership and strategies to break through barriers and achieve this goal.
Whether you are serving 100% of children in care with a volunteer, struggling to recruit volunteers or falling somewhere in between, we hope you will join us as it truly does take a village.
