Texas CASA SEEKS GENERAL COUNSEL and CHIEF EXTERNAL RELATIONS OFFICER

The General Counsel and Chief External Relations Officer is a member of the executive management team who provides legal counsel and guidance to the organization, as well as strategic leadership for Texas CASA’s legislative and public policy advocacy efforts. This position directs development and execution of legislative advocacy work and other policy efforts in collaboration with multiple stakeholders, cultivates the organization's relationship with the judiciary and state agencies, and aims to broaden the impact of Texas CASA and CASA programs in the child protection system. CASA of Travis County is seeking to fill the following positions:

  • Child Advocacy Specialist | The primary responsibilities of the Child Advocacy Specialist is to motivate, empower, guide and supervise CASA volunteers as they advocate in the best interest of children to whom CASA is appointed by the courts, while ensuring accountability for meeting CASA of Travis County’s values, policies, and standards of case management are met.   • Operations Specialist | The primary responsibilities of the Operations Specialist is to support the mission of CASA of Travis County, by helping to ensure that logistical and administrative operations are accomplished with excellence, assuring accuracy, responsiveness and efficiency.
