The CASA ACT: Volunteer and Program Guide Webinar

The CASA ACT: Volunteer and Program Guide webinar was presented to CASA of Cross Timbers on February 15, 2024. The webinar reviews resources available at Texas CASA. The Volunteer Guide Advocacy for Youth Affected by Sex Trafficking was released in March 2023, and the Program Guide was released in September 2023. The webinar will cover guidebooks offered to programs and important topics related to youth affected by sex trafficking, such as the unique vulnerabilities youth in the child welfare system face, the power and control methods used by traffickers, and the stages of change that survivors go through, emphasizing the importance of consistent, compassionate support and effective advocacy.
