Texas CASA — Request for Proposals for Anti-Child Trafficking (ACT) Consultant

Texas CASA seeks an experienced individual to coordinate efforts at the statewide and local CASA network level to support survivor-centered CASA advocacy and training. Texas CASA is looking to contract with an individual who will support Texas CASA to be a proactive statewide partner and leader in this field. The CASA ACT Consultant will:

  • Support resource sharing to inform advocacy specific for survivors of child trafficking and will support local programs to be engaged in anti-child trafficking work and efforts in their communities.
  • Support local CASA programs to be engaged in anti-child trafficking work and efforts in their communities.

How to Submit a Proposal :

Please submit the following documents no later than close of business on Monday March 9, 2025 to contracts@texascasa.org.

  • Letter of interest outlining relevant experience
  • A proposal for achieving the scope of work
  • Two visual samples of work (presentation, infographic, curriculum, etc.) from within the last three years.
  • Resume/CV
  • Names and contact information of three individuals to act as references

Texas CASA — Social Media Intern

Texas CASA seeks a dynamic, motivated and knowledgeable Intern to support the Communications and External Relations Department with various tasks and research related to Texas CASA’s social media and digital campaigns. The Social Media Intern is someone who wants to build their portfolio while learning skills and gaining valuable, practical experience that will give them an edge when entering the job market. The ideal intern is one with a passion for helping others and who is looking for an opportunity to improve their social media management skills and gain hands-on experience in communications and public relations.

Harris County

Child Advocates Houston seeks an Advocacy Coordinator Bilingual

The Advocacy Coordinator is responsible for the execution and oversight of the organization’s advocacy initiative serving children in custody of the Department of Family Protective Services in Harris County, Texas. This involves case management, including direct contact with children, caregivers and family members; appearance at court hearings and case-related meetings; active involvement in medical and educational advocacy; preparation of court reports and recommendations; and documentation and other administrative tasks. The Advocacy Coordinator also supervises a team of volunteers serving as court appointed guardian ad litem on some or all assigned cases and represent a key tenet of the organization’s mission. Qualifications: Minimum 2 years’ experience working with children and families in a case management capacity. Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field. MUST Speak Spanish and English.

Travis County

Early Family Engagement Specialist (EFE)

As an EFE Specialist, you will further the mission of CASA by ensuring quality advocacy by supervising Early Family Engagement volunteers assigned to cases to explore possible family/fictive support and identify the immediate needs of children and families. The EFE Specialist position requires critical working relationships with partner organizations, including the Department of Family and Protective Services, the Office of Child Representation, the Office of Parental Representation and the Children’s Rights Clinic, among others.

Child Advocacy Specialist

As a Child Advocacy Specialist (CAS), you will guide and supervise a team of volunteer advocates by providing guidance, coaching and feedback as they advocate for the best interest of the children to whom they are assigned. Advocacy occurs in a variety of settings including courtrooms, classrooms, medical and therapy settings. You will be expected to work effectively with families and legal parties with varying experiences and perspectives, as well as exhibit an understanding of child and family advocacy issues as it relates to the child welfare system

As a Program Manager, you will provide motivation, empowerment, guidance and supervision to the CASs while ensuring accountability for meeting CASA of Travis County’s values, policies and standards for volunteer and case management. The Program Manager will fulfill the performance standards of Texas and National CASA, complying with the statutory obligations of guardian ad litem and meeting or exceeding the expectations of the Travis County courts. The Program Manager must have a proven record of exercising good judgement in their interaction with children and families, as well as knowledge of child welfare policy and legal procedure.

Golden Crescent CASA Seeks Executive Director

The Executive Director is responsible for directing a variety of administrative processes that allow Golden Crescent CASA (GCCASA) to operate. It is their job to implement and oversee policies adopted by GCCASA’s Board of Directors.
