Help Us Advocate for Children & Families
Our voices can inspire change in the child welfare system
Dear friend,
For the past several months, the Public Policy team and I have been on a tour of Texas, meeting with the local CASA programs and CASA volunteers in advance of the upcoming Texas Legislative Session that begins in January. Can you help us be ready?
Statewide, people are giving their time to not only be educated on the issues, but also educate others. This cycle of education is what will bring about the change needed. By working with the local CASA programs, the members of the Child Protection Roundtable and the Legislature, we can improve the laws and policies that impact the child welfare system.

I am also looking forward to the return of the in-person CASA Day at the Capitol event on March 1. This inspiring event allows local CASA program staff, board members and CASA volunteers to come to the Capitol, meet with their legislators in person, dive into the issues that need their support and thank them for what they do for the children and families in the child welfare system.
Texas CASA exists to make the system-wide changes needed to support children, youth and families in the child welfare system. I am excited about the upcoming legislative session and inspired by the passion I’m seeing at CASA programs across the state for improving the system and creating a brighter Texas for all. You can help by supporting our advocacy with a donation.
Sincerely,
Amanda Arriaga
