All New VCA Training Open for Registration!

VCA training

Registration is now open for the all new Volunteer Coaching and Advocacy training! The focus of this training is to help you develop strength-based supervisory skills. Our guest presenter is Cynthia Lietz, PhD, LCSW, the developer of the Strength-Based Supervision model that we will use to guide us. The two training’s offered are geared toward folks with two years or less in their CASA program. We aim to give newer supervisors tools to strengthen supervisory skills and provide resources to help them lead their volunteers to become strong advocates.

We are offering the training twice, but please only register for one of the two training options. The first training option will be a day-and-a-half in-person training at the Dallas CASA office on May 23, 9:30 AM – 4 PM and May 24, 9 AM – 12 PM.

The second option will be a two-part online training June 15 and 16, 9 AM – 12 PM both days. This condensed version is for those who cannot join the in-person training. Capacity is limited for both training opportunities.

**The link is the same to register for both training’s, but please only register for one of the two training options. If you are unsure if you’ve registered or if your circumstances have changed since you registered, please contact Lisa Briggs at lbriggs@texascasa.org.
