Mark your calendars! Your STAR team will return on June 24th for a special 90-minute training with the folks from Unity Recovery. You will not want to miss out on this opportunity to hear from recovery specialists, including those with lived experience, for an in-depth look at recovery-informed CASA advocacy for children and families experiencing substance abuse and addiction.
May is such a busy time for everyone, so while STAR zoom may be taking a break, we hope you will visit the STAR program portal page where you can find training and resources to support your work with volunteers, children and families. Specifically for youth graduating this month, please share with them the Aging Out of Foster Care in Texas resource provided in both English and Spanish to inform them of their rights and benefits.
