Please join us on June 24, 2024, from 12:00-1:30 pm, when the STAR team will welcome Unity Recovery to present on substance use, recovery and how it impacts families. CASA staff and supervisors will gain a deeper understanding of how to support families in their recovery journey, including tips, language and resources they can use in practice. The presenters will pull from their lived and living experience, as well as current research to educate on stigma, language, recovery outcomes, recovery science and research, and tools to support families. This training will focus on parents in recovery and their children. The presentation will include a panel of parents in recovery who will share their personal stories about recovery, raising children and experiences with Child Protective Services. All CASA staff are welcome and encouraged to come learn directly from the families we serve.
Please note this month’s STAR Zoom will be 90 minutes and is open to all CASA staff.
