Meet the New Texas CASA Staff
Michelle Cobern, Texas CASA Program Specialist
Michelle Cobern has worked with nonprofit organizations since 2005 and started her career with CASA in 2011. Michelle thoroughly enjoys working with CASA and assisting local nonprofits in her community, like the Salvation Army and Animal Rescues. Michelle’s been married to John Mark Cobern for 9 years and has two children. Her favorite hobbies include camping and spending time with her many pups, especially Enya.
Liz Woods, Texas CASA Program Specialist
Liz Woods has worked in the non-profit industry for over 22 years and began her career with CASA in 2014. In addition to her non-profit work, Liz serves as the Assistant Director of With This Ring Marriage and Family Ministry (WTR). and for the last 25 years, she has mentored young women. Liz received an Accounting Degree from Lamar University. She is also a Motivational Speaker and a U.S. Army Veteran. Liz says that her greatest accomplishment is her family. Liz is the wife of Michael R. Woods, and they have been married for 33 years. She is the mother of 3 adult children and the grandmother of two beautiful granddaughters.
