Texas CASA’s Public Policy team has the privilege of partnering with the Children’s Commission to host a Judicial Appreciation Reception each year during the Annual Child Welfare Judges Conference. At this reception, Texas CASA presents the Judicial Innovation & Leadership Award (JILA) to an outstanding Texas judge who does exemplary work championing children and families in the child welfare system. This award is an incredible opportunity to showcase CASA’s deep appreciation for the judges who go above and beyond to protect and care for those in their courtroom. We ask that volunteers and/or staff members from your local program fill out this nomination form if you work with an outstanding judge who you believe should be considered for the 2026 JILA. You understand the impact these judges have on your community better than anyone else, so we need your valuable input! Please note that this form will close on August 31, 2026.
