Network Services Team Updates

As our work continues to evolve to meet the needs of local CASA programs and the children and families they serve, Texas CASA has made several updates within the Network Services team to better align our strengths, expand our capacity, and ensure we’re providing the highest level of support across the network. Below you can learn about the new updates and points of contact for this team:

Amanda Melancon

We are excited to share that Amanda has been promoted to Learning and Network Development Manager. In this role, she will lead our learning management strategy, oversee STAR programming, and continue strengthening the resources and support we provide to local CASA programs.

Kyron Green

Texas CASA has welcomed Kyron to the Strategic Network Support team as our part-time Learning and Events Support Specialist, who will work alongside Amanda. Kyron will help manage CASA College, support course development, oversee learning management system administration, and assist with learning events and operations. Check out Kyron’s full bio here.

Margaret Halpin

Maggie’s role as Learning and Development Manager is expanding to provide even broader support to the network. In addition to continuing her work supporting staff who facilitate pre-service training for new CASA volunteers, she will now provide training and support for Program Directors across the state, including leading our twice-yearly Spill the TEA gatherings for this important leadership group. Maggie will also oversee the CASA ACT (Anti-Child Trafficking) framework, manage the CASA ACT Consultant, and continue producing CASA on the Go, our continuing education podcast for CASA volunteers.

Anna McDonnell

Anna has rejoined Texas CASA as a contractor, where she will focus on our work related to Justice-Involved Youth and Dual-Status Youth

Maria McCord

Our CFE Coach Maria, will assume leadership of Extended Foster Care resources and support.

Taylor Merrill

Our CFE Coach Taylor, will assume leadership of Court-Ordered Services resources and support.

These updates position our team to continue growing our support for local CASA programs while ensuring each area of work has dedicated leadership and expertise. We’re excited about what this next chapter means for our team and for the local programs we serve.
