The Faces of Texas CASA’s Strategic Network Services (SNS) Team, Part 1

Behind the scenes at Texas CASA, the Strategic Network Support (SNS) team helps strengthen the statewide CASA network by equipping volunteers and local program staff with the knowledge, skills, and support they need to advocate effectively for children and families. Amanda, Maggie, and Kyron work closely with CASA volunteers, trainers, supervisors, and program directors across Texas through training, coaching, resources, and learning opportunities. Their work includes Amanda’s Sharpening Skills webinars and New Supervisor Series, Maggie’s CASA on the Go podcast and Spill the TEA, and CASA College, which Kyron recently took the lead on managing — with 7,160 course completions in FY26! This part of the team also contributes to curriculum development, resource creation, and statewide learning initiatives that help CASA programs continue to grow and strengthen their advocacy.
Get to know Amanda, Maggie, and Kyron and learn more about the people helping support CASA’s network across Texas.
How long have you worked for Texas CASA, and what inspired you to be a part of the CASA mission?
Amanda: I have been with Texas CASA for 2 and a half years. With my background in education and having children of my own, I feel a connection to the CASA mission as a way to support our state’s most vulnerable children.
Kyron: I’ve been with Texas CASA for about a month. While I never experienced the foster care system, I was adopted as a child, so the mission of CASA connects with me in a very personal way. I’ve experienced firsthand the difference that hope, love, and community can make in a person’s life. Being part of Texas CASA gives me an opportunity to help ensure more children and families can experience that same kind of support, connection, and hope.
Maggie: This year, I celebrated ten years of being part of the CASA network and eight years on the Texas CASA team. I truly believe that the people in this network are kindling sparks of life-giving hope and connection that help to illuminate the path forward for the children and families we walk alongside.
What are some initiatives you are working on right now that you are really excited about?
We’re excited about the work happening through Clergy, CASA & Community and the powerful opportunity it creates to bring diverse communities together around a shared purpose: creating deeper, lasting impact for children and families. By building meaningful connections among CASA programs, faith communities, and community partners, we’re strengthening the network of people committed to supporting children today while helping build stronger, more connected communities for the future.
We’re also excited to be working closely with new supervisors across the state in our New Supervisor Cohort. It’s an opportunity to provide meaningful support, practical resources, and a space for connection as they grow into their roles—with the goal of helping them feel more confident as leaders and better equipped to support the advocates who serve children and families.
And lastly, we’re excited about the work we’re doing to support the local CASA programs in strengthening our Anti-Child Trafficking efforts as a network. This is an important area of safety advocacy for youth in foster care, and we’re humbled by the leadership that so many programs continue to show in this area.
