The Faces of Texas CASA’s Strategic Network Services (SNS) Team, Part 2

The work of Strategic Network Services (SNS) team is critical to Texas CASA’s mission because they support the volunteer experience as a whole, including the pipeline and life cycle of a volunteer. For Part Two of the SNS Team Spotlight, we are excited to spotlight Maribel and Lindsey!
As Events and Meetings Director, Maribel leads the planning and execution of our annual conference and supports teams with trainings and other Signature events. She brings hospitality, passion, negotiation skills, and a deep commitment to creating the best possible learning experience. Her thoughtful approach makes room for more than professional development; it creates opportunities for connection, relationship building and renewed energy to continue the important work of CASA.
Working alongside Maribel, Lindsey helps bring these experiences to life. Together, they make a strong team, attending to the details that help participants feel welcomed, supported and ready to learn. Their shared commitment is at the heart of making each conference the best it can be.
Beyond her work supporting conference and training events, Lindsey serves as Campaign Marketing and Media Manager. She manages the statewide media campaign and supports the CASA network’s efforts to strengthen the volunteer pipeline and the advocate’s journey, from initial interest through continued service. Lindsey brings compassion and integrity to this work and has built strong relationships and trust with recruiters and executive directors across the network.
Whether creating a welcoming place to gather or helping programs connect with future volunteers, Maribel and Lindsey put people at the center of their work. We are grateful for the care, commitment and collaborative spirit they bring to Texas CASA and the network we serve.
How long have you worked for Texas CASA, and what inspired you to be a part of the CASA mission?
Lindsey: I Just celebrated my 10-year anniversary at Texas CASA. I was first introduced to CASA through a former Texas CASA employee, and I was immediately struck by the passion, compassion, and expertise that every staff member brings to the work. While I didn’t know much about CASA or the child welfare space when I first stepped into my role, it didn’t take long for me to develop a wholehearted commitment to advocating for children and supporting the volunteers and programs that work directly with the families CASA serves.
Maribel: I have worked at Texas CASA for 27 years. The uniqueness of the role and the impact the CASA volunteer makes in the lives of children and families is what has continued to inspire me to be part of the Texas CASA mission.
What are some initiatives you are working on right now that you are really excited about?
We’re already working to make the 2027 Texas CASA Conference just as wonderful as this year’s, so get excited!
