Small Moments Can Make a Big Impact. It’s Something We Call the CASA Effect.
Dear friends,
As we greet the new year filled with hope and possibility, Texas CASA is thrilled to introduce our newest awareness campaign – The CASA Effect – developed in coordination with our marketing agency, Proof. One of the ways Texas CASA serves the network of local programs and amplifies the CASA mission is by creating a statewide awareness campaign. The statewide awareness campaign is created to support the local CASA programs in their effort to motivate and inspire people to become Court Appointed Special Advocates for children and youth in the foster care system. You will see and hear the campaign across the state of Texas through online advertisements, news broadcasts, radio, newspapers, magazines, billboards, social media and more.
Our new campaign, The CASA Effect, is a play on The Butterfly Effect, a well-known phenomenon that describes how a minor event today might have a major impact at a later time and location. This is a beautiful metaphor to describe the seemingly small, yet ultimately meaningful and memorable impact of a CASA volunteer. By leveraging this concept and renaming it “The CASA Effect,” we demonstrate to potential volunteers that being an advocate for children in foster care is an attainable way for them to make a big difference. The CASA Effect teaches us that the delicate flutter of a butterfly’s wings has the potential to travel far beyond what we can see — with small actions today having a big impact tomorrow. In much of the same way, a CASA volunteer can transform the life of a child in foster care with just a single visit or a few kind words — these seemingly small actions can open doors to a brighter, more stable future. Check out the 30-second video below to see The CASA Effect in action!
Texas CASA is honored to support the local programs as we work together to bring our collective vision and monumental effort to life through The CASA Effect. We hope you will join us in sharing our stories with your family and friends by word of mouth, on social media or by simply forwarding this newsletter. By sharing these stories, you become a part of The CASA Effect, showing how even the smallest actions can have a big impact.
