CFE Evaluations
Texas CASA contracted with Dr. Cynthia Osborne and the Child and Family Research Partnership (CFRP) at the LBJ School of Public Affairs at The University of Texas at Austin to evaluate the Collaborative Family Engagement (CFE) process and over the first six years of CFE implementation the team has evaluated numerous aspects of CFE.
Final Outcomes Report: FY 2021
This report provides an update on the extent to which the use of the CFE approach is associated with improved placement and permanency outcomes on child welfare cases. It also examines the application of CFE and placement and permanency outcomes separately for children by race and ethnicity to understand if children of different races and ethnicities have similar case experiences under the CFE approach.
