Public Policy Team Update: Thank You, Stephanie, and Welcome, AD!
The Texas CASA Public Policy Team has an important update to share.
After four years with Texas CASA, Stephanie will be leaving the organization on August 4 to begin law school at St. Mary’s University School of Law in San Antonio. During her time with Texas CASA, Stephanie has been a dedicated advocate for children and families, supporting local CASA programs through two legislative sessions, CASA Day at the Capitol, legislative visits, trainings, and countless conversations across the state.
Reflecting on her time with Texas CASA, Stephanie shared:
“Working alongside CASA advocates and staff across Texas during the last two legislative sessions has been one of the most deeply meaningful experiences of my professional life. Thank you for the partnership, encouragement, and trust that you have given me throughout my time at Texas CASA; it has truly been a privilege to be part of this work.”
We’re grateful for Stephanie’s commitment to the CASA network and wish her all the best as she begins this exciting new chapter. While she’ll remain with Texas CASA through August 4 to support the transition, we’re looking forward to celebrating her contributions before she departs.
At the same time, we’re excited to welcome AD Tincopa as Texas CASA’s new Public Policy Specialist!
AD brings experience across both direct service and public policy, with a career focused on serving youth and families throughout Texas. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Baylor University and her Master of Social Work from The University of Texas at Austin, specializing in Policy and Administrative Practice.
Most recently, AD served as a Senior Policy Analyst in the Medicaid & CHIP Services division at the Texas Health and Human Services Commission. She also previously worked directly with youth and families in Austin-area Title I elementary schools and supported youth advocacy during the 89th Texas Legislature as a Policy and Advocacy Intern with Girls Empowerment Network.
In addition to her professional experience, AD has served as a CASA volunteer in Travis County for nearly two years, giving her firsthand insight into the impact of CASA advocacy. She is excited to support local programs and continue advancing Texas CASA’s public policy work.
Stephanie and AD will work together over the coming weeks to ensure a smooth transition, and we look forward to introducing AD to many of you in the months ahead. Please join us in thanking Stephanie for her outstanding service and welcoming AD to the Texas CASA team!
