Texas CASA has released the 2021 Standards for Local CASA/GAL Programs, which indicate the rules and requirements for local CASA program operation and advocacy. The objective of the Standards for Local CASA/GAL Programs is to ensure the highest quality advocacy and operations possible by setting up performance levels for local CASA programs, while also giving individual programs freedom for creativity and innovation.

Texas CASA worked with the Regional Representatives and local programs across Texas to incorporate the new National CASA Standards, and other legal requirements of CASA programs and Texas-specific Standards, into the updated Texas CASA Standards. There was also a public comment period to incorporate network input into the requirements.
